The Concord Museum is seeking an enthusiastic and responsible individual to work at the front desk of the Concord Museum on our team of Head Guides. Head Guides are responsible for the daily operation of the Museum including selling tickets, processing shop sales, coordinating the daily tour schedule, leading tours as needed, opening and closing the building, and greeting visitors with a warm and welcoming presence.
Candidates should have 1-3 years of experience in a customer service role; previous experience in a museum or other historic setting is a plus. Excellent communication skills, computer literacy, and cash handling experience are required. High school diploma or equivalent required, some college preferred. Interest in American history highly desirable.
Head Guides are required to work at least two weekend days each month; occasional weekday and evening shifts are also available. This part-time position is perfect for college or graduate students, retirees, and others with a flexible schedule looking to be part of a dynamic team in a historic environment.
Hours vary per week, 3 to 10 hours. $13.00/hour.
