A Wondrous Light: Music and Transcendentalism
October 20, 2022 at 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM
The Boston Cecilia, one of the country’s oldest and most acclaimed choral groups, will offer an intimate a capella concert of works connected to Transcendentalism, featuring choral arrangements from Paul John Rudoi’s oratorio Our Transcendental Passion and a premiere composition by Cecilia member Benjamin Perry.
The Boston Cecilia is glad to donate this performance to the Concord Museum, its mission and its patrons. The pieces that will be performed—including the premiere of When I heard the learn’d astronomer—are tied to the history of Concord and the Transcendentalist Movement.
