Film Screening: The Making of Joe Wheeler: A Concord Story
November 12, 2020 at 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM

Born on Thoreau Farm in 1926, Joe Wheeler went on to help farmers and others across the world. His idealism was forged in Concord during the Depression and World War II. Motivated to help build a war-free, prosperous world, he spent most of his life abroad assisting others through the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), the Peace Corps, and the United Nations. At the end of his career, he returned home to Concord.
There will be a post-screening discussion with the filmmaker, Susan Orleans Rieder; Verrill Farm Co-owner, Steve Verrill; Joe Wheeler; and his daughter, Rachel Wheeler.
