As Massachusetts and America mark 250 years since the Revolution, join us for a panel that explores historically and presently the meaning of liberty. Featuring Joe McGill, Jr. (Slave Dwelling Project), artist Jennifer Davis Carey (Redemption series, a few pieces will be on view), and historian Lauren McCormack of Freedom’s Way National Heritage Area (formerly of the Marblehead Museum, where she led the restoration of Jeremiah Lee’s Brick Kitchen & Slave Quarters, one of only three surviving detached slave quarters at a New England museum). Facilitated by Scarlett Hoey of the Wayland Museum & Historical Society.
