Harold Holzer on “Monument Man: The Life & Art of Daniel Chester French”
Harold Holzer, one of the leading historians of Abraham Lincoln and the political culture of the Civil War era, explores the long life and dramatic artistic career of pre-eminent American sculptor Daniel Chester French, whose statue for the Lincoln Memorial is arguably the nation’s most iconic statue.
7:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the Churchill and Janet Franklin Lyceum in the Rasmussen Education Center. Members $5; Non-members $10; Register here. Books available for purchasing and signing in partnership with the Concord Bookshop.
